Over the past several years Canada and CARICOM have stepped up the level and frequency of bilateral engagement. Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Development, as well as Senior Officials have all met several times to begin charting a course for a revitalized relationship. Recently Leaders of Government met to solidify these plans.
CARICOM Heads of Mission in Ottawa, the Canada Caribbean Institute, and the Canada International Council held a panel discussion with government officials and experts in May 2022 to identify some of the issues.
