The Canada-Caribbean Institute, along with our partner the Canada International Council, believe it is important to ensure that there is a solid understanding of the issues around reparatory justice for black slaveary as this subject will increasingly arise in international dialogue. In this spirit, on April 10, 2025 we brought together two of the foremost experts on the topic of Reparatory Justice and Black Slavery… Prof. Afua Cooper from the University of Toronto and Prof. Hilary Beckles, Vice Chancellor of The UWI for a panel discussion to share their knowledge.
