Due to circumstances beyond our control, we regret to inform that this Panel must be postponed.

At their recent Leaders’ Summit, Canada and CARICOM approved the launch of a “Strategic Partnership“. Designed to regularize and formalize a longstanding intergovernmental relationship, it will bring the two sides together at all levels (officials, Ministers, Leaders) on key issues into the future. See the text of the Strategic Partnership here.
Beyond the headline though, what does this mean for Canada and for CARICOM and its Member States?
Together with our partners (Canadian International Council, CARICOM, and the Government of Canada) we are holding a Panel Discussion on December 15, 2023 11 am to 12:30 pm to see what we can learn. Please join us for this discussion.
The Caribbean Development Bank will set the economic and development context. Government officials from Canada and CARICOM will identify their interests and expectations for the Partnership. And the Canada-Caribbean Institute will seek to identify ways in which a collaboration between colleges and universities on both sides can help advance this relationship.
Please join us…You can register for the Panel Discussion here.
But you can contribute to the Panel as well. This website has a Discussion Forum that we would like to launch now. You can visit this Discussion Forum here and, after registering for the Forum, you can let us know what you would like to know about the Partnership. We will make sure that your questions are forwarded to the Speakers before the event.
