
Canada and the Caribbean, as well as the Canada-Caribbean Institute and it’s Member Institutions, place priority on addressing climate change and its impacts on Small Island States. A conference being held this summer on Prince Edward Island, Canada is bringing policy-makers, researchers and industry together to advance this priority.

The Global Sustainable Islands Summit co-hosted by the Government of Prince Edward Island aims to bring together professionals, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss and explore innovative solutions and advancements in sustainable energy. Island Innovation takes pride in creating the bridge and starting conversations between the different sectors. With a focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship, the conference will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration.
The summit is scheduled for May 21-23, 2024, and will be held in-person in the charming town of Georgetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
The summit co-hosted by the Government of Prince Edward Island is open to a wide range of participants, including professionals, researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and students who are passionate about sustainable energy, green technologies, and environmental sustainability.
The summit will cover a diverse array of topics, including: Renewable energy sources and their implementation – Energy efficiency strategies and innovations – Advancements in green technologies – Mitigation of climate change impacts – Transitioning towards a low-carbon future.
