On June 3, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. the Heads of CARICOM Diplomatic Missions in Canada and Global Affairs Canada are organizing their annual CARICOM-Canada Policy Forum under the theme “Climate Change and its Impact on International Security”.
Diplomats, academics and experts from the Caribbean and Canada will exchange views and plan on possible areas for further studies and actions to address the relationship between climate change and security at a regional and an international level.
The organizers of the Policy Forum hope it can be used to establish a pathway for CARICOM and Canada to work with international partners – including multilateral organizations – to advance discussions on the promotion and maintenance of international peace and security iin the context of the impacts of climate change.
