About the Symposium
On February 19 and 20, 2026, the Canada–Caribbean Institute (CCI) will host its 4th Annual CCI Research Symposium (CCI-RS) at the St. Augustine Campus of The University of the West Indies (The UWI) in Trinidad and Tobago. The symposium, held under the theme “Securing Canada–Caribbean Futures: Repositioning Traditional and Emerging Challenges,” will bring together scholars from universities across Canada and the Caribbean to explore how the region can collaboratively address traditional and emerging security challenges and build sustainable, inclusive futures.
